Description
In “The Riftbreaker,” you step into the shoes of Captain Ashley S. Nowak, an elite scientist-commando piloting a robust Mecha-Suit named “Mr. Riggs.” Your mission is to travel through a one-way portal to Galatea 37, a remote planet in the Milky Way Galaxy, with the aim of establishing a base that enables return trips to Earth and further planetary colonization. Your Mecha-Suit is designed to endure extreme environmental conditions and is equipped with tools for base construction, resource extraction, specimen collection, and combat. It also has the capability to traverse rifts, bridging vast interstellar distances.
Campaign
Embark on an extensive adventure across the diverse biomes of Galatea 37, setting up several self-sustaining bases to support your economy. Engage in the research of alien materials and lifeforms while battling numerous alien creatures opposed to your presence. The campaign, spanning several hours, offers immense freedom in a meticulously generated world, allowing you to prioritize tasks and select technologies as the sole human on the planet.
Survival
Your objective is to survive for a predetermined period, repelling progressively challenging waves of alien enemies. Each mission is randomized for almost limitless replayability.
Base Building
Your primary goal is to construct a two-way rift back to Earth. This complex endeavor demands vast energy resources, beyond simple solar collectors and steel. You must develop a sophisticated network of mines, refineries, power plants, and research facilities to succeed.
Exploration
Explore Galatea 37, an uncharted planet in the Sycorax belt, deemed inhabitable and ideal for colonization. The planet abounds in rare minerals and unique substances, scattered across various biomes. These biomes, filled with unfamiliar fauna and flora, present challenging weather conditions. Establish local outposts in areas rich in resources, utilizing rift technology for transportation.
